At least six people reportedly died on Tuesday as the commercial bus conveying them rammed into a truck in Ogun State.
The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps Spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the road crash, which involved the Mazda bus with registration number EPE 440 YG
The accident occured at Car Park C, opposite the RCCG junction, along the Lagos/Ibadan highway.
Akinbiyi revealed that the truck driver fled immediately he saw what happened.
He disclosed that five male adults and one female adult died instantly in the crash, while six others sustained injuries.
Akinbiyi said the bodies were deposited at the Idera Morgue, Sagamu and Famobis Hospital, Mowe while the injured were taken to RCCG and Famobis hospitals, respectively.
