Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, expressed concern over the alarming prevalence of drug abuse in the state.
He also disclosed the amount of hard drugs seized from a transporter.
Sharing a photo of the drugs on his X page on Monday, Edafe wrote, “People are spending lots of money to run mad. I will keep saying this. We have to do our best to stop substance abuse in the name of getting high.
“These hard drugs were recovered from a transporter who was going to supply at Ughelli. I also heard that there is a high rate of drug/substance abuse in Oghara as well.
“We have to condemn this trend, otherwise, I don’t know where the leaders of tomorrow will come from if we use drugs to destroy our today. How do we see tomorrow like this?”
