Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has disclosed that there is possibility of taking four to five years break from music to pursue a career in football or golf.
Wizkid disclosed this on his Instagram story on Sunday while reacting to a question from his fans on when he will release a new song.
“Back in 4 years. Make una papa chop him money small… 😎,” Wizkid wrote.
Speaking further, the Multi-award-winning star said, “Or 5. or I fit still go Dey play ball now, Or make I start Dey play Golf.
“On some G shit, I hope you mofuckas alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones.”
Wizkid’s last single, “Money & Love” was released on November 4, 2022, leaving fans craving more.
The track is part of his upcoming album, “More Love, Less Ego” which was initially slated for August 2023.
Meanwhile, this was not the first time Wizkid announced break from music, the Afrobeats singer had in 2019 revealed via post on his X, formerly Twitter account, he would take a break from music, tweeting, “Gone till March! Thank you.”
