Following the death of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the All Progressives Congress has suspended the ongoing governorship election campaign in the state.
The Secretary of the APC Campaign Council, Ozigi Salami, disclosed this in a letter addressed to members of the Ododo/Oyibo Campaign Council on Sunday.
According to the letter the suspension is to honour the deceased.
The letter reads, “This is to bring to the notice of all directorates, support groups and teeming supporters of the Ododo/Oyibo project and the general public that the Ododo/Oyibo Campaign Council has decided to suspend all political activities in Kogi Central Senatorial District to honour the demise of our revered king, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, who God Almighty has called to eternal rest.”
