Fire has reportedly destroyed property worth millions of naira at no 138D, Temidire Irewolede community in Ilorin West Local Government, Kwara State.
The spokesman of the State fire service, Hassan Adekunle, disclosed this in a statement in Ilorin, the state capital.
The incident occurred at about 09.52hours on Friday.
According to the statement out of the four bedroom-flat in the building only one bedroom was affected.
Adekunle stated further that there was no record of casualty, while the cause of the fire was attributed to power surge.
The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, urged the general public to always play safe, especially during this period and not to hesitate to call the fire brigade on time whenever there is any emergency.
