Nigerians have taken to social media platforms to condemned what they described as inhumane act after a teenager reportedly buried his younger brother alive in Kogi State.
The young boy was said to have be buried alive as punishment as he allegedly stole N1,000.
In a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), by a tweep identified as @UncleDeji, the boy victim who was later rescued was seen with bruises sustained why he was buried.
“INCREDIBLE: A young boy who was buried alive by his elder brother for allegedly stealing the sum of 1K was rescued today in Apamsede, a suburb of Lokoja, Kogi State, the culprit was handed over to security operatives,” UncleDeji had tweeted.
When quizzed, the suspect said he was carrying out their mother’s directive to discipline his younger for stealing.
The video has continued to generate various reactions from social media users especially on X platform.
While reacting, a tweep identified as @Hopeyee tweeted,” If u find out very well, it’s either the mother isn’t her mother or this boy isn’t the same father with the boy but all in all, this is witchcraft, not just wickedness”.
Another tweep, @BishopAdamu, tweeted,”Question is, what is the victim doing there instead of getting some emergency medical attention?
Even asking him to sit on the floor”.
@EarlJude, tweeted,” This is disturbing.Even though the intention was not to kill him but to punish him, it is very extreme.I am even having anxiety seeing that video from here.”
Also while reacting to the incident, @SeanKlean tweeted,”That young boy should be rushed to the hospital. too much talk with no action. The boy is obviously in pain. Do something!”
