Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has removing all Napoli-related content from his Instagram page.
This move comes in the wake of a controversial incident involving the club, wherein they shared and subsequently removed a TikTok video that appeared to ridicule Osimhen for missing a crucial penalty.
According to reports, there is potential for Osimhen to pursue legal action against Napoli.
His agent, Roberto Calenda, expressed that the video posted by the Italian club on their official TikTok account was deemed “unacceptable” in a statement released on Tuesday
The statement read, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
