The Vice-Chancellor of the Osun State University, Prof. Clement Adeboye has declared that 89 graduates received first-class honours as 4,210 graduates will be awarded various degree certificates during convocation ceremony.
Prof. Adeboye made this disclosure in a press conference to announce the 12th and 13th convocation ceremony of the institution.
He said that in total, 4,210 degrees and diplomas will be awarded during the ceremonies, with 1,326 receiving second-class upper, 1,818 with second-class lower, 470 with third-class, and five other students had passing grades.
The Vice-Chancellor explained that the ongoing construction of N34billon Teaching Hospital donated by one of the richest women in Africa and Chancellor of the institution, Folorunsho Alakija, is now 97% complete.
The construction of the hospital began on November 22, 2018.
He said, “On the construction of Teaching Hospital by Dr Alakija, the project is 97 percent complete. But on the convocation day, our Chancellor will disclose the day when the project will be commissioned. Efforts are on top gear over the project.”
