The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, extended his condolences to the family of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Accompanied by key government officials including the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, the Commissioner for Youth, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, and the Special Adviser on Tourism, Mr. Idris Aregbe, the deputy governor visited the late singer’s residence.
During his visit, Dr. Hamzat assured the family that justice would prevail in the unfortunate death of the 27-year-old artist. He also pledged government assistance for the deceased’s son, saying, “Keeping trust in God but also be rest assured that the government will do its part in this case.”
PUNCH METRO reported that MohBad passed away on Monday, September 11, and was laid to rest on Wednesday, September 13, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state.
Similarly, Lagos State Governor on Tuesday assured Nigerians that his administration will ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted into the death of the late singer.
He also invited personnel of the DSS to collaborate with the Lagos State Police Command to conduct a proper probe into the singer’s tragic death.
