The singers, Sean Love Combs also known as Puff Diddy, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake and Wande Coal have been selected alongside others as the organizer of Headies prepare for the 16th edition in Atlanta, United States.
In a recent statement, the list of performers for the event is led by American cum global rap star and music executive, Sean Combs aka Diddy.
The organizer said Diddy is joined by wave-making Nigerian Afrobeats stars including Asake, Ayra Starr, Fireboy, Blaqbonez, Johnny Drille, KCee, and Oxlade.
Others are Rema, Seyi Vibez, Spyro, Victony, and Wande Coal while 63-year-old Senegalese singer, Youssou Ndour will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contribution and strides in world music.
The 16th edition of the Headies is billed to hold on Sunday, September 3 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
Meanwhile, rising Afrobeats stars Bayaani, Odumodu Blvck, Guchi, Eltee and Khaid are in contest for the ultimate prize of a two bedroom solar-powered home in Lekki. The house prize, which is being funded by Citadel Views Estate, is to complement the 16th Headies award for the Rookie of the Year category.
