Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has consoled with Afrobeats artist, Wizkid, over the loss of his mother.
Recall that, it was announced on Friday, August 18, that Wizkid lost his mother during the early hours of the day.
Following this unfortunate incident, celebrities and fans have taken to social media to send their condolences to the Grammy Award-winning star.
On Saturday, Obi, in a statement issued via his X handle, sent his condolences, praying that Wizkid is granted the fortitude to bear the loss.
He wrote, “On behalf of the OBIdient family, I sincerely commiserate with Mr Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, (Wizkid), who reportedly lost his beloved mother. The death of a loved one is a very painful experience, more so a beloved mother.
“Dear Wizkid, may God Almighty who called her home grant her eternal rest in His kingdom and grant you and your family the fortitude to bear her irreplaceable loss.
