Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi on Friday evening scored his second goal in two games for Nottingham Forest, who defeated newly promoted Sheffield United 2-1 to earn their first league victory.
The latest goal has now seen Awoniyi has now scored in his last six games for Forest in the Premier League.
He has the longest active scoring streak by a Nigerian player in the Premier League, with six games in a row.
Only Mohamed Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor (seven-game runs) have more than him.
Additionally, Awoniyi equals Stan Collymore’s record by becoming just the second Forest player to score in six straight Premier League contests.
