The General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has explained why he is against same-sex marriage.
The revered cleric revealed that if same-sex marriage is allowed, it will be the end of human existence in less than 100 years.
Adeboye made this condemnation in a post on his X, former Twitter handle, titled ‘Darkness is linked with barrenness’, noting that the very first commandment God gave to man is “Be fruitful and multiply” quoting from the book of Genesis 1:28.
He disclosed that many people have asked him why he was not in support of same-sex marriage but he had made clear to them that it is not possible for same-sex to produce offspring.
Adeboye said, “Some people asked me not too long ago, “Why are you against same-sex marriage?” I asked in turn, “How will two men or two women produce a child?”
The cleric further revealed that when they talked about adoption he asked them who would produce the child they would adopt, adding that if we all engage in adoption instead of producing as Bible commanded, that will put an end to human existence.
“They mentioned adoption, but who is going to produce the child they are going to adopt?
“If we all adopt this lifestyle, the human race would become extinct in less than a hundred years.
“I told them, “The devil is a liar”. I don’t care what people or organisations say, I will stand by the truth. The word of God is clear: “Be fruitful and multiply’,” Adeboye asserted.
He added that, ‘Anyone trying to do anything that disobeys that instruction is disobeying God Himself.”
Darkness is linked with barrenness.
This implies that light is equivalent to fruitfulness. When you study the Scriptures, you will see that God is interested in your fruitfulness.
The very first commandment He gave to man is “Be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28).
