In order to avoid needless car accidents during the rainy season, the Federal Road Safety Corps on Thursday encouraged drivers to replace worn-out tyres and wipers.
Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC’s spokesperson, made the announcement during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.
Additionally, Kazeem suggested that before setting out on a trip, drivers should always check that their cars are in good operating order.
“Motorists are advised to ensure that before embarking on a journey during the rainy season, they should ascertain that the windows and windshields are clean.
“This is to be observed on the outside and the inside, and routinely check the headlights, brake lights, turn signals and tail lights, ” he said.
Additionally, he suggested that the wiper and blades for the wind shield be examined for appropriate operation.
