Football governing body, FIFA, has reacted to Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon’s announcement of his retirement from football.

The body took to Twitter on Wednesday to wish the football legend well as he bows out of professional football.

The Juventus star recently posted a video on Twitter announcing his 28- years of football career retirement.

The 45-year-old halted his astonishing football journey at his boyhood club, Parma.

While reacting in a tweet, FIFA wrote, “Congratulations on a wonderful career, Gianluigi. Wishing you all the best for your next chapter!”
