A 50-year-old woman, identified as Patience Bello, has been charged with attacking a man in a police station before an Upper Area Court in Kubwa, Abuja.
Patience is accused of spilling a liquid substance on Mr. Johnson Oluwore on July 17 at the Kubwa Police Station. It was said that the incident put Oluwore in fear of death or bodily harm.
The police prosecutor, SP Babajide Olanipekun, stated that the defendant’s actions violated Penal Code sections 265 and 398. However, Patience pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The judge, Malam Yahaya Sheshi, granted the defendant bond in the amount of N500,000 with one surety in the same amount and set the hearing date for August 14.
