A yet-to-be-identified helicopter has crash landed in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.
Punch Metro gathered that the incident happened adjacent AP Filling Station, and United Bank for Africa around 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The number of passengers on board, the condition of the passengers, and the exact reason for the accident are unknown as of the time this report was filed.
Also, an official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency stated that the helicopter burst into flames immediately after the accident occurred.
On its part, the National Emergency Management Agency said two persons were onboard the ill-fated helicopter.
“Fixed-wing Aircraft Reg 5NCCQ Airfirst Hospitality and Tour Ltd crashed near Lagos Airport.
“Following the incident, NEMA, LASEMA, Fire Service, Security Agencies and other stakeholders carried out search and rescue operation. Two crew members and two passengers rescued”, NEMA tweeted.
However, emergency responders are already at the scene in the crash.
