The Gombe State Police Commissioner, Etim Oqua has assured the residents of the State of adequate security, noting that hard times are never forever.
CP Oqua gave this assurance following the recent incidents in neighboring Adamawa, admonishing members of the public to be law-abiding and never engage in any form of criminal activities, adding that proactive steps have been taken to ensure the safety and security of lives
The Police Commissioner stressed that the primary objective of the warning is to prevent any potential criminal activities and maintain law and order within the State.
Etim Oqua then directed all Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to maintain a heightened level of vigilance in their respective areas of responsibility.
They have also been directed to collaborate closely with other security agencies to share information and intelligence, ensuring a coordinated effort to address any emerging threats.
The Gombe police boss identified the concerns and challenges faced by the residents of state urging them to remain calm and law-abiding during these difficult times.
While assuring the public that the government is actively working to alleviate their hardships and restore normalcy, the CP said, “Everyone needs to remember that tough times are temporary, and together, we can overcome these challenges.”
The Command also advised parents and guardians to be vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their children or wards, jus as he told mothers to warn their children against associating themselves with bad companies or engaging in activities that may compromise their safety or lead them down the wrong path. By instilling good values and providing guidance, parents play a crucial role in shaping the future of their children and protecting them from potential harm.

The Command called for prompt reporting of any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station or through designated phone number stressing the cooperation and support of the public are vital in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment.
