Some concerned Nigerians have taken to their Twitter accounts on Tuesday, to comment about the appearance of the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, at the Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Premium Politics reported earlier, that Emefiele who had now been granted N20 million bail by the court, was brought in by the officials of the Department of State Security, to face a two-count charge of illegal possession of firearms, levelled against him by the Ministry of Justice.
Reacting to his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday morning, the following Nigerians took to their Twitter accounts to react:
A Twitter user, Emeka Nweke @EmekaWilfred, said: Emefiele looks frail and he hopes fainted while in court
Another Twitter user Majek of Ibeju @majeispainful wrote: was not comfortable with how Emefiele was being dragged into the courtroom. “Why dragging his hands like a criminal! Nigeria my country I hail una.”
Kody’s girl @Pearlie_DO, simply wrote: “The man has seen things.”
Father Abraham @ikechukwumogaha, said the suspended CBN governor would still say he is sick.
“He will soon say he’s not feeling fine.”
Another Twitter user, KIA @kfra_88, who asked for forgiveness on behalf of Emefiele, adding that he looks unwell, wrote: “Godwin Emefiele looks very Unhealthy, “Free him, please “In the Bible Jesus has said, forgive one another.”
Kelechi Chima @kelechinchima wrote: “The man has lost weight in few weeks, I would imagine he didn’t act alone, why are they harassing only him?”
