Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps defeated Nigeria Immigration Service 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-17) in the women’s match on Day 5 at the ongoing 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Abuja.
The league which began on July 18 is ongoing in Abuja.
Last month, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation began its National Division 1 and 2 Leagues from June 3 to 13 in Imo State.
Sixteen clubs played for the six available slots in Nigeria Volleyball Premier/Division 1 Leagues in the men and women’s categories.
Men’s teams who competed in the National Division 1 were; Nigeria Correctional Service, Kwara United, UCEM of Enugu, Joda VC of Bauchi, Katsina United, Caliphate Spikers of Sokoto, Chief of Naval Staff Spikers and G-Rank of Kachia.
While Olalomi Royal VC, Bayonet Spikers of Jaji, Yelwa Spikers of Bauchi, and All New Comers battled in the women’s category.
Four men’s team battled in the Division 2 league including; Adamawa Spikers, Bayonet Spikers of Jaji, Sword VC of Benue, and All Newcomers.
