The 19-year old candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Mmesoma Ejikeme, accused by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board of result forgery has apologised to the examination body for her action.
According to The Nation, she read an apology letter in an investigative hearing by the House of Representatives Ad hoc Committee to probe the matter headed by Sada Soli.
She pleaded for leniency as she promised such would not happen again.
She said she had never been involved in examination malpractice all her life.
Present at the hearing is the JAMB Registrar, Prof Isiaka Oloyede.
Mmesoma Ejikeme, a 19-year-old student, has come under fire for allegedly parading a fake Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result.
Ejikeme was initially celebrated for scoring 362 in the 2023 examination, a result that would make her the highest scorer, but JAMB said the result she parades is false.
