The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has given nod to the ordination service of the newly-elected archbishops and bishops for August 27 to be hosted by the Diocese of Lagos West, Lagos State.
After a Synod held at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Abuja, on June 6, Ndukuba declared the election of four new bishops to fill vacant seats, two newly elected archbishops for Lagos and Kaduna provinces and the Dean-elect of the Communion.
The service will be held at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral as Venerable Collins Babalola for Ajayi Crowther Diocese, Venerable Festus Nwafili for Ndokwa Diocese, Venerable Ifedola Okupevi for Lagos Diocese and Venerable Ebenezer Saiki for Akoko-Edo Diocese will be consecrated as bishops.
Also to be presented include Dean-elect, Most Reverend Dr. Blessing Enyindah, two Archbishop-elects; Most Reverend Dr. Michael Fape for Lagos Province and Right Reverend Timothy Yahaya for Kaduna Province.
The primate then called for prayers for the newly-elected bishops and archbishops as they go into their new places of assignments.
