A Nigerian saxophonist, identified as Oluwatobi Kufeji Àlejòpàtàkì, has begun a praise and worship singing marathon to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon.
The man is set to sing for 200 hours nonstop while in full view of the World
In a video circulating online, the clock shows that the man has sang for two days and 20 hours and still has approximately 7 days to complete his challenge.
Oluwatobi on June 10 confirmed on his Instagram page that he has accepted his application to break the longest singing hours by an individual.
He wrote” Guiness World Records has accepted my application to break the LONGEST SINGING MARATHON of 105 currently held by Sunil Waghmare(Indian) since March 2012, and the record of the LONGEST CONCERT BY A SOLO ARTIST for 501 hours currently held by (Indian)
He tagged his daring attempt as a Praise-a-thon during which he would be singing different worship and praise session.
According to the Guinness World Record official website, the longest singing marathon by an individual lasted 105 hours and was achieved by Sunil Waghmare (India) in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012.
