Makinde mourns Oyo cleric Olowere
The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde of has commiserated the leadership of the Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Oyo State branch and the immediate family of Ibadan-based cleric, Michael Ojo Olowere, popularly known as Baba Automatic, on his demise.
Makinde expressed his condolence in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
It was gathered that Olowere, the founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Agbara, Asi- Bodija, died on Wednesday, at his residence in Ibadan, the state capital.
Makinde described the death of the cleric as a huge loss to Christendom and the entire state, noting Christians and his enthusiasts would miss him.
He described the late cleric as a worthy father of faith, saying, “I received the news of the death of Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, with shock.
Governor Makinde said, “Baba lived his life serving God and humanity. He was a God’s General who sought the good of Oyo State and Nigeria and contributed his quota to making it happen”.
