The Osun State Government has called for identification of a nine-year-old girl, identified simply as Ayinke, who was abadoned but rescued at Fasugba farmland along Ilesa-Ife Express road in Osun State.
This was made known in a statement issued through the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs by the state government, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Modupe Irelewuyi, on Wednesday, said a good Samaritan found the girl abandoned in the bush.
The statement read, “the abandoned girl’s case, who was discovered in the bush had earlier been reported at the Nigeria Police Station, Osu, Atakunmosa West Local Government Area, Osun State before notifying the Ministry.”
The statement enjoined members of the public with relevant information concerning Ayinke to assist in the possible location of her parents.
