KAA Gent defender, Jordan Torunarigha has announced he will be switching international allegiance to Nigeria.
Torunarigha competed for Germany at the Under-23 level and attended the most recent Olympic Games in Tokyo as a member of the German national squad.
The central defender previously rejected advances from Gernot Rohr, the former head coach of the Super Eagles.
He, however, recently told journalists, “I have given it a lot of thought”
“My father has already played for the Nigerian national team, so I’m really happy that I can follow in his footsteps now.
“My goal is to be part of the Nigerian team at the 2026 World Cup.”
His father, Ojokojo, was a former footballer who previously represented Nigeria.
