French footballer, Ngolo Kante, has joined Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Chelsea.
Kante joins Cristiano Ronaldo, Kareem Benzema, and other top European stars in the Arabian league after securing a two-year, €100 million per year contract.
His move has confirmed by Italian Sport Journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Kante was acquired by Chelsea for £32 million from Leicester City back in 2016. After returning after a brilliant and remarkable season with the Foxes, Kante established himself as a defensive midfield stalwart for Chelsea, helping Antonio Conte’s team win the Premier League.
PUNCH METRO reported that Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema inked a two-year contract with Al Ittihad on Tuesday that will pay him over €400 million.
Nuno Espirito Santo, a former manager of Wolves and Tottenham, is in charge of Al Ittihad, who finished five points clear of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr last season.
