Nigeria, on Sunday night, bowed out of the 2023 U-20 World Cup after a 1-0 defeat to South Korea.
Although, the Flying Eagles displayed a flying performance in the early part of the tournament, they failed to continue that performance in the quarter-final clash.
At the 95th minute, Seung-Won Lee took the corner kick and Choi Seok-Hyun got his head on the ball to put Korea one goal ahead.
The Eagles almost equalised during the added time, as Ume Emmanuel made space inside the box for a shot, but his effort went off the right post.
The Koreans scored with their only shot on target, while the Nigerian side wasted three opportunities in the game they dominated.
South Korea will play Italy in the semi-finals to decide which team goes into the final.
