Former Chelsea player, Eden Hazard will be leaving the Spanish giant, Real Madrid by the end of the 2022/2023 season.
This was decided after the Le Blancos terminated the contract of the player who has been deemed a surplus requirement following his unimpressive performance since he joined the club.
In a message communicated to Hazard who failed to replicate his brilliance at Chelsea with Real Madrid, the club made it know to him that they have chosen to part ways with him even though he has a year left on his contract.
“Real Madrid CF and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement whereby the player will be released from the club as of June 30, 2023.
“Hazard has been part of our club for four seasons, in which he has won eight titles: one European Cup, one Club World Cup, one European Super Cup, two leagues, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
“Real Madrid wants to express its affection for Eden Hazard and wishes him and his entire family the best of luck in this new stage,” the statement said.
During his time at Real Madrid, he scored seven goals in 76 appearances, 10 of which came in all competitions in the 2022/23 season.
Another player expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu is Marco Asensio, who might probably sigh for Paris Saint-Germain.
