Yeni Kuti, popular media personality and elder sister of Grammy-nominated afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti, has revealed why she still dance for his brother, Femi.
In in a chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, she stated that she still dances for his brother because she doesn’t consider the idea of forming her own band.
“…So, a lot of people have been talking to her. It’s just like me, people are saying, ‘Why are you still dancing for your brother? Go and form your own band.’ Which band do I want to form? Did I ever come and meet you that I want to form a band,” she said.
She also revealed that her brother’s wife Funke left him because of communication breakdown.
She said, “I think [Femi and Funke’s divorce was a result of] a communication breakdown. Because Funke even now says if she had known then what she knows now, she probably wouldn’t have left the marriage. So, I think it was a communication breakdown.”
