The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has congratulated the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, on the celebration of his 63rd birthday on May 13, 2023.
The News Agency of Nigeria reported that in a message signed by the president’s media aide, Femi Adesina, Buhari stated that Adeleke had solidified his base and gradually built a formidable network of friends and political allies that had helped him get victories, including leading one of the 36 states in the country.
Buhari added that Adeleke’s easygoing disposition had turned into an asset. He further urged the governor, whose victory was recently validated by the Supreme Court, to put the interest of the state and welfare of the people above all else, and seek God’s guidance to deliver on his mandate.
Adeleke won the Osun State Governorship election in June 2022 and had since gone through a series of contentions in the court concerning his victory, however, on Wednesday, the apex court upheld his victory.
