The operatives of the Delta State Police Command, has begun manhunt for the assailants of the police sergeant who was kidnapped at a location around Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State and later found dead.
The Command’s Spokesperson, Mr. Bright Edafe, while confirming this incident on Saturday noted that, “The police officer, after closing from work, was going home.
The deceased police officer, simply identified as Sergeant Ifeanyi, was until his death, said to be attached to the Eagle Net patrol team of the Ughelli Area Command.
However, details of the incident were still sketchy as the time of filing this report.
Sources revealed he was abducted on Thursday evening while returning home from official duty.
The police image maker said, “He was intercepted and kidnapped; later, we discovered his dead body. Manhunt for the assailants is on and we will see how we can get them as soon as possible.”
