Nigerian music star and socio-political activist, Charles Oputa, on Friday morning revealed that he will be having a thanksgiving service on Sunday for surviving cancer.
PUNCH METRO reported that the singer recently revealed that he had a successful prostrate cancer surgery.
Alongside a video of him being wheeled out of the theatre, Charly Boy wrote, ”Gosh, I have fought one too many battles in my short life. Most of the time, I win.
“Prostate Cancer cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, it cannot conquer dis spirit.”
”Abegi make una help me Thank God for giving me yet another chance.”
Taking to his official Twitter account on Friday morning, he tweeted “Tomorrow I Dey go thank God for sparing my life from prostate cancer.
“Hopefully my instrument go begin to function again, I go let una know cos I go do another Thanksgiving for dat one. It’s not easy to be a Manoooo”.
Reacting to the announcement, one of his followers, @Johnbu, tweeted,”God will restore it sir.. I love how u r able to be humourous about ur challenges…. Weldone..”
Another @Husband Material, tweeted, “You’re a survivor. It’s not easy. I thank God with you our area fada”
Also @Johnpaul, tweeted, “Congratulations on the wholesome healing from the ailment, but be rest assured that the so-called Thanksgiving for “that me” will be a dream because Obi didn’t win in the polling units and he can’t win in the tribunal. No this and have peace of mind.”
