The operatives of Lagos State Police Command have recovered a gun and six cartridges from fleeing suspect in the Egbe area of the state.
According to Vangaurd, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known in Lagos on Saturday, adding that police operatives on patrol duty in the area recovered the firearms.
The spokesman stated further that, on sighting police patrol team, the suspect dropped an object and took to his heel.
“On sighting a police patrol vehicle on the ever-busy Liasu Road in Egbe, the hoodlums dropped a polyethene bag and took to their heels.
“On checking the bag, a locally-made firearm and six live cartridges were recovered,’’ he explained.
