Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane has been suspended by Bayern Munich for punching teammate, Leroy Sane.
It was reported that the pair were involved in an altercation after this week’s Champions League loss to Man City, which led to Mane hitting Sane.
“Sadio Mane, 31, will not be in the FC Bayern squad for the home game against 1899 Hoffenheim next Saturday,” Bayern said.
“The reason is misconduct by Mane after FC Bayern’s Champions League game at Manchester City.
“In addition, Mane will receive a fine,” they added.
Despite the penalty, both pairs were seen training today at the club’s training ground on Thursday.
Mane, 31, has had a difficult time since joining the Bundesliga winners from Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
The two-time African Player of the Year scored six goals in his first seven games for Bayern in all competitions, but he hasn’t scored since October.
