The Federal Government has fixed a new date for the 2023 National Population and Housing Census.
According to Daily Post, the new date was announced by the Chairman of the State Steering Committee for the 2023 census in Ekiti State and Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget, Economic Planning and Performance Management, Mr Niyi Adebayo, during a meeting of the committee in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
In order to ensure a smooth process, Adebayo revealed that the enumeration operation had been moved from its original dates of March 29 through to April 2 to the 2nd through the 7th of May 2023.
The Committee Chairman also urged members of the committee, especially the subcommittees, to get moving in order to make the exercise a big success in the state, stating that delaying the counting would allow for good planning and thorough preparation.
He assured the public that the committee will make the required information about the exercise available
