The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election, Peter Obi, has shown no sign of agitation or anxiety, as he was spotted at Asaba airport on Tuesday taking pictures with supporters.
Obi was spotted at the airport by flight workers and passengers, where he was scheduled to catch a flight.
A Twitter user, identified as @drpenKing shared photos taken, with Obi smiling as he posed with his supporters for personal and group selfies.
The photo was captioned, “HE Peter Obi, Sighted In Asaba Airport Today in very high spirit.”
The former governor of Anambra state contested the election with fellow counterparts from other parties including, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress; Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, amongst others.
Having concluded the voting process between Saturday and Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission had since begin collation and announcement of results across all states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
With 14 states officially announced by the INEC chairman, prof. Mahmood Yakubu, at the National Collation Centre in Abuja, other results are expected to be announced from 2pm on Tuesday, even though previous convening had been rescheduled twice.
