Alhaji Usman Yakubu-Yaro has been appointed as the new State Coordinator for the National Youth Service Corps in Sokoto State.
This was said in a statement released on Tuesday in Sokoto by the public relations representative for the state’s plan, Malam Sani Idris.
Idris claimed Yakubu-Yaro succeeded Alhaji Muhammadu Nakamba, who left the military after serving the required amount of time and retired.
Nakamba expressed his gratitude to the staff and corps members for their assistance and support throughout his administration.
He told his successor that he his tenure was fruitful because of the cordial relationship he had with the members of staff.
In a statement, Yakubu-Yaro promised to maintain an open door approach to allow staff members to contribute positively to the program’s success.
He pledged to put both employees and corps members’ wellbeing and security first.
