The popular Nigerian car dealer, Olanrewaju Rasak Shittu, has been confirmed dead on Monday morning, aged 65.
Shittu, was a well-known car salesman and socialite in Nigeria. The news of his death was made known by a close family member, according to Vanguard, who stated that he (Shittu) would be buried on February 27 at The Vault and Gardens, Lagos.
Shittu, who held the exclusive franchise for Mack brand cars in Nigeria as well as being the country’s only dealer of Sany heavy machinery and Yutong buses, was also the top dealer of Mack trucks in all of Africa.
The prosperous businessman also held licenses to sell KIA, NISSAN, and Jinbei Buses, and he was the top provider of OEM components to car dealers in Nigeria and elsewhere.
