Some Nigerians have begun signing a petition to cancel the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Visa of the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his family members.
The petition was initiated by Onyebuchi Ezeagabu and it is being signed on the change.com website, an online platform dedicated to signing petitions for change.
Onyebuchi said, “The River’s state governor Nyesom Wike has been operating to destroy the electoral process in the state he governs. We demand his and his family’s visa eligibility be revoked.”
As of the time of this report, the petition which was titled “UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Cancel Nyesom Wike’s Visa” against the Rivers Governor has been signed by close to 16000 people of the 25000 individuals required to sign.

This publication recalls that the Labour Party on Saturday night said Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, was allegedly manipulating election results.
Commenting on the petition, Adam Belo-osagie said, “If wike can not respect the rules in Nigeria, why should he be able to leave Nigeria?”
Ugochi Agua-Onyekwelu also said in support of the petition, “This man has caused a lot of trouble and thuggery in the Nigerian political scene. He is always inciting people against the Igbos and had actually carried out the killing of thousands of Igbo men in his state at Obigbo, PH. He believes so much in violence and talks carelessly like a taut.”
UCHENNA ELEKE commented saying, “He is thwarting the will of the electorate by changing the original voted results to favour a candidate who failed in the 2023 presidential elections in the state he governs which is Rivers State of Nigeria.”
