Manchester United on Sunday evening defeated Newcastle to win the Carabao cup.
The Red Devils won the finale of the tournament by defeating the Eddie Howe team who were looking for their first trophy in 60 years two goals to nil.
Two first half goals from Casimiro and Marcus Rashford dented the hope of Newcastle fans in the first half of the game at the Wembley stadium.
The victory at Wembley Stadium landed Erik ten Hag silverware his first season at the club.
The League Cup has gone to Old Trafford on a total of five occasions. As well as 1992 and 2017, United won it in 2006, 2009 and 2010.
Also, the victory gives Manchester United its 67th piece of silverware in the club’s history.
