As the 2023 general election takes place, soldiers have set up barricades in Effurun, the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, and portions of Warri.
This is in the bid to thwart any plot to disrupt the elections.
At Effurun market, Jakpa junction, and Enerhen junction, the soldiers could be seen.
According to DAILY POST, there are restrictions on mobility throughout the State.
The soldiers are, however, not bothering the locals.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has deployed over 11,000 security operatives to Edo State.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of elections in the state, Ben Okolo, disclosed this to newsmen after a security meeting in Benin City, the state capital.
