PSquare, born Peter and Paul Okoye, are one of Nigeria’s most popular musicians.
The brothers after their reconciliation, have been vocal about their support for the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The duo have been seen at various political rallies, using their music to campaign for the LP.
The PSquare have also been vocal on social media, urging their fans to vote for the LP in the upcoming elections.
Popular content creator, Mr Macaroni, since the EndSARS protest in October 2020, has been in the news for his political stances. In 2021, the skit maker declared support for Peter Obi.
Mr Macaroni has since used his platforms and occasionally, skits to promote the Labour Party candidate.
Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, also known as Jenifa, has been a supporter of the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, since her venture into Nigerian politics.
The recently, betrayed actress who lost her mum, is the deputy to an aspiring Lagos State governor, Jandor, under PDP.
Singer-songwriter, Brymo has publicly endorsed the All Progressive Party candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the 2023 elections.
Following his support for Tinubu, the singer had gotten into a squabble with some netizens who criticized his statement towards the Igbos and indirectly the South-Eastern presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The statement had been interpreted to connote hate and breed ethnic clashes amongst Nigerians.
Popular musician and actor, Bankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, is currently contesting for the sit of a House of Representatives member for Eti-Osa constituency under PDP.
This means automatically, he is a support of his party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Award-winning actress and producer, Toyin Abraham, has been drumming support for APC’s candidate, Ahmed Tinubu, on social media.
Though her endorsement of Tinubu was met with harshness from her fans and followers, the mother of one has continued to chant Tinubu without guilt.
