The operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have apprehended one Mrs Akunna Roseline Udom for allegedly defrauding members of the public on Monday 20 February 2023.
A statement by the Police public relations office,Tochukwu Ikenga said that the 35-year-old mother of five was a leader of a three-man syndicate specialised in defrauding members of the public especially young single ladies promising them marriage to her brother overseas who is looking for a wife.
According to the release, Rose Udom a mother of five joined the gang early last year and since then has defrauded more than five young ladies of a total sum of Nine million naira and more
The woman in her fraudulent act also tells her victims of possessing spiritual powers that double any amount given to her.
It added that some of her syndicate members are at large.
