No fewer than eight Madonna University, Rivers State students have been reported to have died in an auto accident.
It was reported that the accident occurred on the 18th of February, 2023 after the students were instructed to go home for the elections.
According to the reports, the accident was said to have occurred at the TTC/Special Science School Junction along the Trans-Saharan Road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The vehicle conveying the students was said to have caught fire, burning beyond recognition.
Only 10 students were reported to have survived the accident and are currently at the Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital in Ebonyi receiving medical treatment.
