Residents of Ojota area of Lagos State has been thrown into a state of tension as hoodlums attacked men of the Nigerian Army on Friday morning.
Viral video of the incident showed some residents lamenting the situation the ugly situation.
In one of the clip, a resident stated, “Today 17th of February,2023, live at Ojota, Lagos State is on fire, everywhere has scattered.. Soldiers are shooting seriously”.
Also tweets by residents of the area advised residents in neighboring communities to avoid Ojota.
@Bank__y, tweeted, “Mile 12, Ojota, Ketu, Agric, Sabo ikorodu are not safe right now, serious riot is on going in these places.”
Also, @kingfuture_19, tweeted, “Ikorodu road; Owode Onirin, Mile 12, Ketu and Ojota, please you all should stay safe and stay away from that road….”
@Lukaabbey, also warned people to avoid the area owing to the situation, “Ikorodu to ojota route, please if this is your route for work avoid it for now. A clash is going on there in a retaliation to the soldier that was killed at 174 battalion.”
