In Turkey and Syria where the earthquakes have claimed over 41,000 lives, rescuers are still finding survivors.
228 hours after the initial earthquake, a mother and her two children were saved in Antakya, Turkey, Aljazeera reported.
Prior, a 17-year old and an unidentified man, were also rescued after 198 hours.
There are several stories of the miraculous rescue of both infants and adults across the countries, Turkey and Syria.
However, 35,418 people have reportedly died in Turkey, according to the authorities and more than 5,800 people have perished in Syria, according to the Syrian government and the United Nations.
The World Health Organization has described Northwest Syria, as a “zone of greatest concern,” as the resentment over the sluggish delivery of humanitarian aid is rapidly building up.
Meanwhile, a $397 million aid request has been made by the UN to provide food, shelter, and healthcare for five million Syrian refugees.
