After a week an earth quake rocked Turkey and Syria, rescue teams on Tuesday raised nine survivors from the rubbles, counting death toll to 41,000.
Many survivors are now battling with cold, hunger and lack of shelter.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan maintained that the country is having the greatest natural disaster.
According to him, “we are facing one of the greatest natural disasters not only in our country but also in the history of humanity.”
The 7.8 magnitude quake that struck the city on February 6 has rendered many to hardship including extreme weather condition.
According to Reuters, those rescued on Tuesday included two brothers, aged 17 and 21, pulled from an apartment block in Kahramanmaras province and a Syrian man and young woman in a leopard-print headscarf in Antakya rescued after over 200 hours in the rubble. There could be further people alive still to find, said one rescuer.
