Daddy Freeze has said that Nollywood is far behind in a response to Veteran actor, Nkem Owoh who earlier said that Nollywood is better than Hollywood and all others.
Speaking at a recent interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, the thespian said that Nigerian movies depict real life events and happenings around them, adding that it is wrong to compare the caliber of Nigerian films with those coming from the developed nations.
In his words “The storyline is better than any story from any Woods and we don’t have the technology, but we have the story.
“We are a third world country coming up and people should give us kudos for the level we have attained. I believe that with the stories and creativity among us, we would go places when we get the needed technology
“If you check the time and how we started, you will give kudos because we are making tremendous progress in the industry.
“With the kind of technology we have now, i believe Nollywood has a far distance to go positively” he said
Daddy Freeze spoke in response to these claims saying this was untrue and even though our music is at par with the global standard, our movies are still way behind.
“Lets be honest with ourselves,” he concluded.
