Nigerians are still relentless in the expression of their frustration following the naira crisis.
As the due date for the expiration of the old naira draws closer, Nigerians have continued to experience a drought of cash both new and old.
Even worse, bank apps have been in a state between dead and alive, in a single word, coma.
Some staff of a Nigerian bank allegedly fled the bank premises over the fence following agitation from aggrieved customers in Warri, Delta State.
In the video that was shared, the bankers were seen fleeing through a ladder.
Note that Punch Metro can’t immediately confirm the veracity of the report or the location of the said bank but reports suggest that it is in Delta State.
Reacting to the development, The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, denied the report, claiming that some top staff of the bank, policemen and soldiers were outside the alleged bank and refuted knowledge of such act by their staff.
Similarly, at the United Bank of Africa, Idimu branch, customers were seen widly expressing their grievances.
Our correspondent rom lamentations, thronging and threats, the UBA customers employed every means possible to demand cash.
The bank, however, insisted that there’s no cash to be distributed as they haven’t received money from the CBN.
As a violence preventive measure, the bank management, employed the use of uniform men to calm or control the tendencies of their customers.
